The Missouri Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control conducted server training in Cape Girardeau this week. This free program offered businesses who serve alcohol the opportunity to update their staff on proper conduct and compliance when serving alcoholic beverages. The training covered a wide variety of topics including hours of service limitations, spotting fake ID’s and more. Missouri Department of Safety Spokesman Mike O’Connell tells KZIM-KSIM they also covered issues of intoxicated customers. Cape had a large attendance of about 49 people. The program is paid for by a grant through the US Department of Justice and Missouri DPS. Server training is available by calling 314-877-0325.
