The owner of a Cape Girardeau daycare who allegedly sold hydrocodone pills while children were in her care was arrested Monday. 37-year-old Keisha McReynolds is charged with one felony count of distributing controlled substances near a daycare center. McReynolds allegedly sold 16 pills for 60-dollars to a SEMO Drug Task Force confidential informant September 26th at the Beautiful Beginnings daycare center at 26-25 Hopper Road. The sale happened during business hours while at least 8 children were present. The state department of health and senior services shut down the daycare the next day. McReynolds is in Cape Girardeau County Jail on a 100-thousand-dollar bond. Her attorney filed for a change of judge and a court date is pending.
