It’s WABBIT season ladies. A special class is for all levels of experience on the 8th

Jan 29, 2014 -- 4:05pm

Since the 1990s the Missouri Department of Conservation has hosted a Women’s Rabbit Hunt. Agent Mic Plunkett says this year on February 8th this “Discover Nature” event includes meals and supplies so women over eighteen, with experience or not, are encouraged to take part. He tells KZIM KSIM after some safety tips and equipment review it’s time to go hunting! "Dee Dee Dockins will take you out in the field to hunt rabbits. You will be near the Duck Creek Conservation area with instructors and guides on private and public land." If you were born before January 1967 you do not need a hunter safety course. Plunkett says they have easy opportunities for those who don’t fall into that category so you can hunt too. There is a 25-dollar pre-registration fee that will be returned to you at the hunt. Call 573-495-2737 to sign up.
