Southeast University’s Academic Hall will finally open its doors after two years of renovation during Homecoming Week

Oct 23, 2013 -- 6:00am

It’s Day three for Homecoming Week at Southeast Missouri State University, and today is the ribbon cutting and rededication of Academic Hall. After two years of extensive renovation, Director of Alumni Relations tells KZIM KSIM alumni will be able to see the results for the work the university has done. "We hear a lot of buzz from our alumni who are coming back to see what changes have been made. Alumni have so many memories and look back at their years here. It's really the focal point for homecoming this year," Wolz said. Gov. Jay Nixon has been invited to speak at the grand re-opening and rededication ribbon cutting ceremony of Academic Hall at 5:30 p.m. in Academic Auditorium, and Wolz says there will be free tours of Academic Hall available from 6:30-8 p.m. And don’t forget to celebrate Homecoming Weekend with KZIM KSIM! Listen and look for us as we cover the homecoming parade live!
