Stoddard County man charged with knowingly having sex with 300 people in the area while infected with HIV

A Stoddard County man has been charged with recklessly exposing another individual to HIV. 

 Stoddard County Prosecuting Attorney Russell Oliver tells KZIM KSIM this situation is a serious public health concern. 37-year-old David Mangum has been charged with recklessly and knowingly infecting his partner with HIV.  Oliver says Mangum had been infected with HIV  since 2003 and has been in sexual contact with over 300 people in the Stoddard County Area. Oliver says anyone who has participated in any sex act with an unknown male anywhere within this region who they met via “Craigslist- Men seeking Men” should be concerned. If you or someone you know may have been in contact with Mangum, you should cease all sexual activity until you have been adequately tested for the virus. Oliver says  if you think you may have been infected by Mangum, please contact his office.Mangum is set to be arraigned before Judge Satterfield on September 5th. His bond has been set at $250,000 cash only.
