The Missouri Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program deadline is next Friday.

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service announced a July 12th deadline for Missouri landowners in 27 counties to apply for financial assistance through the Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program or WHIP.WHIP enhances habitat on eligible land for upland and wetland wildlife, threatened and endangered species, and other types of wildlife identified as rare or declining species. Many types of land, including grassland, woodland, wetlands, stream and riparian areas, agricultural land and non-agricultural land may be eligible for WHIP funds. To sign up for WHIP contact your USDA Natural Resources Conservation Center. A directory for with all Missouri county offices can be found on www.mo.nrcs.usda.gov. SOC”
