Students in Sikeston are MAP testing, help them stay relaxed

The Missouri Assessment Program [MAP] grade-level examinations will continue across the state for grade level testing through May 17th.  Schools have been stepping up efforts to prepare students for the MAP test and end-of-course exams taken by high school students. Sikeston R-5 Schools Chief Academic Officer Chuck Mayes tells KZIM-KSIM that they train teachers in the technical aspect of the testing, and everyone should help the kids stay calm about it.  Mayes says that parents can help children succeed by reassuring them with  positive feedback, as well as allowing them some time to relax.  All school district MAP test scores from previous years and APR information are available through DESE's Missouri Comprehensive Data System at
