The US Postal Service announced in February that they would be dropping mail carrier delivery service on Saturdays, but one organization is not interested in seeing that happen any time soon. Delivering for America is urging citizens to get involved and push for Congress to preserve six day delivery. Organization Advocate Thomas Bolen tells KZIM-KSIM they are trying to relay their message to the public. Bolen says they will hold a rally to deliver the information that they feel is being ignored, that the US Postal Service is being forced to prefund employee retirement and health benefits, and it’s causing the system to fail. The rally will be at the Main Post Office in Cape Girardeau on Sunday from 1-2pm.
