MPSC “Fix A Leak Week”

Mar 20, 2013 -- 5:30am

Water leaks cost you money–money that essentially goes down the drain.  There are several things that consumers can do to conserve water and at the same time save money on their bill.  The Missouri Public Service Commission is supporting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s “Fix a Leak Week”, now through Sunday.  According to the EPA, average household leaks can account for enough water to fill a backyard swimming pool or 90 gallons or more of water per day.  Fixing them can save you more than 10 percent on your water bill.  Some tips to save water?  Replace leaky fixtures, install a water saving shower head, and turn off the tap while shaving or brushing teeth.  For more tips, visit  psc.mo.gov.
