A local ministry asking for community help in Thanksgiving plans for the less fortunate

Nov 12, 2012 -- 2:34pm

The Lion of Judah International Association of Ministries Incorporated is asking for your help as they work to feed the homeless this Thanksgiving.  The local group will host their annual Thanksgiving Big Feast to homeless and home bound families on the 22nd out of their Outreach Center at 6-29 Good Hope Street in Cape Girardeau.  This year the group is desperately low on turkeys, and traditional side items.  Reverend Deborah Young tells KZIM-KSIM it is important we show these people that we care about them. Volunteers are also needed to help serve meals that day.  If you would like to volunteer or donate you can do so by calling 979-3063.  Doors open at 11 am to the homeless and hot drinks will be served.
