Future star athletes begin training now via the Cape Parks and Rec Track and Field Club…
A Track and Field Club for youth formerly operated by the Cape Roadrunners is now under the management of Cape Parks and Recreation. Coordinator Jared Tanz says they hope to grow from the 65 kids they had last year between the ages of six and fourteen. He tells KZIM KSIM this is a full track and Field competition club that includes meets in other towns - so you must be able to travel. Practice begins the 23rd at the Junior High filed and will be held Tuesdays with most meets on Thursdays. Tanz says the season ends with the Hershey Track meet with a chance to qualify for the state competition. The fee has been reduced to 45-dollars and some scholarships are available. 339-6340.
