Two people are dead after a crash late Friday night
Two people from Poplar Bluff were killed in a crash on US 67 – 8 miles north of Silver at 10 o clock Friday night. Missouri State Highway Patrol reports indicate that 36-year old Michelle Lampley of Poplar Bluff was southbound when she apparently crossed the center line and struck an SUV driven by 24-year old Kyle Parks of Qulin head on. Lampley and her 64-year old passenger Lloyd Freeman were pronounced dead at the scene by Wayne County Coroner Alan Berner. Bother were wearing seatbelts. Parks was also buckled in and sustained moderate injuries. He was taken to a Poplar Bluff hospital. This brings the total number of fatalities for Troop E to 14 for 2010.
